Linking Strategy
After the recent Google update (commonly known as Jagger), some people said that several link methods are out-dated, particularly reciprocal link exchange becomes useless.
However, I observe client’s website results, based on some statistics, I believe reciprocal links are still useful. However, you should exchange links with quality websites and relevant websites. But even before Jagger, this rule still applies!
In the past, some people think that seeking links are important but very time consuming. Therefore, they join some free link farm. They might enjoy a bit benefit of improving search engine ranking. After Jagger, their sites vanished! So, they cried that link exchange is no good! Actually, it is link farm is no good!
Remember, search engine optimization is a long term strategy with an aim to improve your website content, relevancy, website structure, and your site’s popularity so that search engines love your site. Therefore, proper search engine optimization DOES NOT rely on short-term and quick fix method.
