MSN Keywords: New Competitors for Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing
You may use Google Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly known as Overture) for your paid search advertising, Now, there is a new program offered by MSN - “MSN Ad Center”. Microsoft’s pay per click program is called “MSN Keywords” which is the first of several advertising options they have planned.
This program is in pilot, and at this time, you can only participate by invitation only. Rumor has it they should be going public with the launch towards the middle of this year. Not sure if it will have a Chinese version or not.
The most interesting feature of MSN’s Ad Center is “advanced targeting”. You can select the target markets you want to reach (male, female, by age range). You can aslo select locations, specific countries/ regions, even cities where you want your ads to appear. What’s more interesting is that it allows you choose the days of the week you want your ads to run.
However, I am not sure the accuracy of this advanced targeting. Well, it is a good move for pay per click marketing, and is a good news for advertisers.
